Im really exited to be starting back for a new term. We have lots going on this half term with all of our Warwick classes starting back this week, our toddler cookery course begning on Thursday's from this week and our Coventry children returning to cookery next week,
I hope everyone had a lovely summer and I can't wait to see everyone!
Please remember payment for this half term is now due and thankyou to everyone already paid.
This week we will be making Lasagne Roll Ups using fresh spinach and ricotta.
Spinach is an excellent source of Vitamin A and K and also provides good dietry fiber so its well worth trying to include it in you're cooking.
Did you know that when it comes to considering which cheese is 'healthier' as a rough guide to harder the cheese the fattier it will be. This weeks recipe uses mostly ricotta which is a low fat soft cheese, with just a little grated cheddar for flavour. Making swaps like these can have a positive effect on health so go ahead and experiment with some cheese swaps! You could try cream cheese with your beans in a jacket potato, or a low fat mozzerella on pizzas.
The children will be settling into their new classes this week and so our recipe is a fairly simple one. All the children will be doing their own measuring and will have to cut up and combine their ingredients. They will also have to carefully assemble their Lasagne Rolls before being baked.
