Monday Update

September 16, 2018

I can't wait to get to classes this week after such a fantastic start to term last week.

Coventry St Thomas Moore classes also return this week on Thursday afternoons.

In this weeks classes the children will be doing plenty of weighing and measuring to make their own Marmalade Cakes.

Did you know that the term 'Marmalade' comes from the Potuguese Marmelo - a type of quince paste which was simlilar to turkish delight and cut into squares and packed in boxes.

Marmalade contain fruit rind, chunks and juice.

Marmalades although traditionally orange taste great in a whole variety of flavours including lemon, grapefruit, lime and kumquat etc

Our cake recipe tastes great with any marmalde, but be carefully of Fortnum & Masons 'Lucifer' marmalade with chilli!
